95 Local Businesses Receive Funding from Glazer Family Small Business Fund
Today, the Glazer family, owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, donated funding to 95 local businesses throughout the Tampa Bay and West Central Florida regions impacted by the most recent hurricane season as part of the Glazer Family Small Business Fund.
The Glazer Family Small Business Fund allows participating chambers to distribute individual grants to small businesses that have been heavily affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Following the first round of applications, 95 businesses were selected to receive funding. The participating chambers include: The Tampa Bay Chamber, North Tampa Bay Chamber, South Tampa Chamber, St. Petersburg Chamber, Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber, Manatee Chamber, Plant City Chamber and Amplify Clearwater.
"Throughout this process, we have continued to be moved by the strength of this community and all that it’s endured in the last year,” said Buccaneers Owner / Chairman Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation / Chairman Glazer Vision Foundation Darcie Glazer Kassewitz. “My family and I are so grateful to the chambers for helping us to identify these businesses and are looking forward to continuing this work with additional funding to more businesses in need.”
“On behalf of the Plant City Chamber, I would like to extend our appreciation to the Glazer family for their commitment to supporting our local businesses. In times of adversity, it’s the resilience and spirit of our community that helps us rebuild, and the Glazer Family Small Business Fund is a vital step in ensuring that our small businesses continue to thrive. This investment in our region speaks volumes about their dedication to fostering growth and recovery across Tampa Bay and West Central Florida. We are proud to be part of such a supportive and compassionate community," said John Haney, Chair of the Board for the Plant City Chamber.
