CNA/Caregiver/Companion

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/CNAs to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to help others and have experience in caregiving or related fields.

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services provides our seniors with the ability to choose an independent lifestyle from anywhere they call home, for as long as possible, with the dignity and respect they deserve. We do this by matching them with loving, caring and compassionate active mature caregivers to provide their needed services.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.

  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.

  • Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring any changes are communicated to appropriate healthcare professionals.

  • Provide companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and social interactions.

  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including lifting clients when necessary.

  • Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

  • Help clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic cooking skills and meal preparation techniques.

  • Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and understanding their significance in client care.

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.

  • Ability to lift clients safely and assist them in mobility tasks.

  • A compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding towards client needs.

  • Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
