Caregiver / Med Tech

Bethesda Assisted Living of Plant City is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and service-minded Caregiver / Med Tech to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents.

The Caregiver / Med Tech will assist residents with activities of daily living, support medication administration responsibilities as permitted, observe and report changes in condition, and contribute to a positive, respectful community environment. Experience caring for seniors with dementia, and comfort working with memory impairment, confusion, redirection, and behavioral challenges, is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals

• Support medication administration and documentation in accordance with training, policy, and applicable regulations

• Observe residents closely and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, appetite, mobility, or mood

• Provide compassionate supervision and redirection for residents with cognitive impairment or dementia

• Help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment

• Engage residents with warmth and encouragement throughout the day

• Support resident routines, dining, and activities as needed

• Communicate effectively with team members, families, and leadership

• Uphold resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality of life in every interaction

Qualifications

• Caregiving or med tech experience preferred, especially in assisted living, senior living, memory care, or healthcare

• Strongly preferred: experience and comfort caring for seniors with dementia

• Medication technician training/certification, where applicable, is preferred

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and team-oriented

• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills

• Ability to work with professionalism, empathy, and consistency in a fast-paced care environment
