Caregiver / Med Tech
Bethesda Assisted Living of Plant City is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and service-minded Caregiver / Med Tech to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents.
This role is ideal for someone who brings both heart and professionalism to senior care. Our caregivers are more than task-oriented staff members—they help create a safe, warm, engaging home where residents are treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine human connection. We are looking for team members who take pride in serving older adults and who understand the importance of patience, attentiveness, and consistency.
The Caregiver / Med Tech will assist residents with activities of daily living, support medication administration responsibilities as permitted, observe and report changes in condition, and contribute to a positive, respectful community environment. Experience caring for seniors with dementia, and comfort working with memory impairment, confusion, redirection, and behavioral challenges, is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals

Support medication administration and documentation in accordance with training, policy, and applicable regulations

Observe residents closely and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, appetite, mobility, or mood

Provide compassionate supervision and redirection for residents with cognitive impairment or dementia

Help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment

Engage residents with warmth and encouragement throughout the day

Support resident routines, dining, and activities as needed

Communicate effectively with team members, families, and leadership

Uphold resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality of life in every interaction
Qualifications

Caregiving or med tech experience preferred, especially in assisted living, senior living, memory care, or healthcare

Strongly preferred: experience and comfort caring for seniors with dementia

Medication technician training/certification, where applicable, is preferred

Compassionate, patient, dependable, and team-oriented

Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills

Ability to work with professionalism, empathy, and consistency in a fast-paced care environment
