QA Tech 2nd shift 5 days - 4:29pm - 1:00am - M -F/ $17
The Quality Assurance Technician ensures product meets or exceeds company and customer expectations as it relates to quality specifications and standard by auditing and monitoring process controls throughout their assigned area. The technician must use knowledge and understanding of the process and controls to root-cause and countermeasure problems which cause defects in the process and ensure all material leaving their area of oversight meets defined standards.
- Know and understand how to read specifications of incoming product as well as current in stock inventory.
- Understand voice of customer and expectations as related to our product.
- Maintain proper communication with Quality Assurance Lead in regards to major quality issues.
- Learn and understand technical drawings and specifications to determine the quality state of product and parts.
- Understand and utilize root cause analysis and problem solving to apply the proper corrective action to ensure defect prevention.
- Understand how to determine or define proper sample size for material inspections.
- Cross train and assist with lead responsibilities.
- Understand processes within assigned area to assist in problem solving.
- Report on actions, progress, and findings to the organization.
- Communicate on escalated orders and corrective action progress to the Operations and Customer Support teams.
