Central Florida Farm Tour is a self-guided driving tour featuring some of the most extraordinary farms located throughout east Polk County, FL. On Saturday, April 22nd participating farms will open their “barn doors” to the public. This is a unique opportunity for guests to experience working farm operations not normally open to the public. Pick your adventure. Visit a few farms or visit all farms at your own pace. Enjoy the day exploring farms and learning about the area’s rich agricultural tradition. Bring your cooler and take advantage of the opportunity to pick your own fruit and vegetables or buy plants direct from several farm nurseries. On the tour you’ll encounter cattle, horses, pigs, chickens, rabbits, donkeys, ponies, goats, honey bees, fish and even a water buffalo.
